Description

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 4 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
  • 1 tablespoon hoisin sauce
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch mixed with 2 tablespoons water
  • 1 teaspoon sesame oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Cooked rice or noodles for serving
  • Sliced green onions and sesame seeds for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients

    • Cut the chicken into bite-sized pieces and set aside. In a small bowl, mix the soy sauce, oyster sauce, and hoisin sauce. In another small bowl, combine the cornstarch and water to make a slurry. Set both aside.
  2. Cook the Chicken

    • Heat 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the chicken pieces and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Cook the Broccoli

    • In the same skillet, add the remaining tablespoon of vegetable oil. Add the broccoli florets and stir-fry for about 3 minutes until they are bright green and slightly tender.
  4. Add Aromatics

    • Add the minced garlic and fresh ginger to the skillet with the broccoli. Stir-fry for an additional 1-2 minutes until fragrant.
  5. Combine Everything

    • Return the cooked chicken to the skillet. Pour in the soy sauce mixture and stir to coat the chicken and broccoli. Add the cornstarch slurry and stir until the sauce thickens, about 1-2 minutes.
  6. Finish and Serve

    • Drizzle the stir-fry with sesame oil and sprinkle with red pepper flakes, if using. Serve the Chicken and Broccoli Stir-Fry over cooked rice or noodles, and garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds if desired.
