Delicious Yakitori Chicken Skewers

Ingredients:

·         200g of boneless chicken thighs

·         2 tablespoons of soy sauce

·         1 tablespoon of sake

·         1 tablespoon of mirin

·         1 tablespoon of honey

·         1 teaspoon of sesame oil

·         2 green onions, cut into 2-inch pieces

·         salt and pepper to taste


Kitchen Tools Needed:

·         skewers

·         bowl

Instructions:

·         Cut the chicken thighs into bite-sized pieces.

·         In a bowl, combine soy sauce, sake, mirin, honey, and sesame oil to make the marinade.

·         Add the chicken pieces to the marinade, ensuring they are well coated. Let it marinate for at least 10 minutes.

·         While the chicken marinates, soak the skewers in water for 10 minutes to prevent burning.

·         Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers, alternating with pieces of green onion.

·         Preheat the grill to medium-high heat.

·         Place the skewers on the grill and cook for about 10-12 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is cooked through and has nice grill marks.

·         Brush with any remaining marinade and cook for an additional 2 minutes.

·         Season with salt and pepper to taste before serving.
